2011 Storm Shadow embarked on his breeding career and USDF dressage under the training and ridden talent of Cassandra Adams, and monthly clinic's with the honorable Axel Steiner. Storm Shadow has also proven a worthy breeding stallion landing his contracts on the first insemination.

This Stallion is not only unique by his breeding, and competition prowess, but he also possesses that presence that is not to be denied, wherever he goes the public follows, now ending his 4th year his mane and forelock are even thicker, longer, with the forelock touching his nose - and he still has two more years to mature. His metallic gold color has darkened with maturity and he continues to be a show stopper no matter where he goes. Storm Shadow is very loving, and has good manners. Break time he loves to romp in his paddock next to his buddy stallion, he is not only worked in the arena's but regularly goes out on trail rides as well. Melle 311 is the patriarch of a rare bloodline, which is known for longevity, fertility, and performance in Sport. He is the product of the Stam line 43 which produced Age 168, the Preferent Stallions Hearke 254, Lammert 260, and Naen 264. Melle was born in the Netherlands, in 1987. At the age of 4 years, Melle was chosen for the stallion performance test, showing that he possessed good talent in sport, the KFPS licensed him to breed on 4-20-91. Melle was permanently approved on the quality of his offspring, on 8-30-95.

Melle 311's phenomenal charisma and movement earned him the recognition of the KFPS Jury resulting in 1992-1994 KFPS Reserve World Champion. In 1996 he won the highly revered title, KFPS Stallion Show World Champion. Melle, since his initial approval, has received a 1st premium designation every consecutive year for his conformation and movement. In addition to his noteworthy credits as an KFPS Stallion Show favorite, Melle has also had many sons represent him in Leeuwarden and Drachten, and most recently his son Rintje V was chosen by the KFPS to represent the breed in the 2010 World Equestrian Games Opening Ceremonies with the distinction of being the only Friesian competing successfully at Grand Prix in the World making his home in Belgium.

Melle's approved son Fabe 348, went on to win the KFPS Reserve World KFPS Champion title in 2000. Melle is also the grandsire of the KFPS World Champion, Sape 381. Melle’s legacy continues to flourish in the Netherlands with the approvals of his great grand sons, Tije 404, and Jorn 430.

Melle 311 is known for his wonderful temperament, conformation, three good gates, smooth transitions, good impulsion, all make for an excellent dressage mount while still maintaining the classic look of a Friesian, thus earning him in 2008 Sport Predicate. Many of Melle’s offspring continue to do extremely well at recognized sport competitions in both Europe and the United States, winning championships in Dressage, Conformation, Hunter Pleasure, Saddle seat, Driving, and are well loved as an endearing companion.
